Cooked on one pan, in a delicious sweet + zesty sauce, this Sheet Pan Honey Mustard Pork with Squash + Apples will quickly become a family fav!
If I’m able to come up with a meal that can be cooked entirely on ONE PAN, you can basically count me in. I’m not sure who else feels me on this, but doing dishes is way worse than cooking. I’ll do whatever I can to make sure that I have as few dishes + as little clean up post-dinner as possible. This Sheet Pan Honey Mustard Pork cooks all together in one place, plus it’s DELISH. It’s basically a winner, winner sheet pan dinner!
This meal is also SUPER allergen friendly too. It’s Paleo compliant with no gluten, grains, dairy, refined sugar, soy or nuts – YAY! I know that’s really important to some of us.
Sheet Pan Honey Mustard Pork Ingredients + Substitutions
This meal is made up of a bunch of really basic ingredients. You can totally change out the vegetables, and even the protein, based on what you have available. The basic method + the marinade are what make this meal special. Below I’ll share what exactly I used, but also what you can swap in or out to make this meal work with what you have!
- pork tenderloin – swap for chicken breasts or thighs, pork chops or even some salmon!
- butternut squash – sub with potatoes, sweet potatoes or cauliflower, brussel sprouts or broccoli!
- an apple – feel free to leave this out if you don’t have it, it’ll be fine!
- a red onion – swap for a white onion, onion powder or dried onion, or omit!
- THE marinade – this baby is essential, but feel free to use any type of oil that you have and swap out maple syrup for the honey if need be.
THE Marinade
The real star of this sheet pan show is the marinade. It’s 4 ingredients + stupid simple. Track with me here – mustard, honey, oil + salt. That’s it. I tend to choose avocado oil for its high smoking point, but you’re welcome to use olive if its what you have!
Lucky for me, we always have mustard, honey, oil + salt in the house because this sheet pan honey mustard pork has become one of our go to meals when we need something comforting, hearty + family approved without any of the hassle of some ornate cooking procedure.
These 4 ingredients do all of the work for you – transforming basic ingredients into a showstopper, all you need to do is to stir, dump + bake!
Sheet Pan Honey Mustard Pork Magic!
The Optional Sauce
So here’s the thing, I’m labelling this sauce as “optional”, but really I’d love to say that it’s “recommended”, ha!
The sheet pan honey mustard pork with squash, apples + onion is totally incredible all on its lonesome, but with this sauce, it’s NEXT LEVEL. Plus, it take the equivalent of like seconds to spoon the 3 ingredients together + stir, so why wouldn’t you!? It’s easy to do while the pork is resting after it comes out of the oven.
This mayonnaise based sauced is flavoured with the same mustard + honey that goes into the marinade and it’s meant to be doused on top of the veggies + pork when its sliced + served. YUM!
Can this be prepped in advance?
Absolutely. The veggies can be peeled + chopped and the marinade + sauce can be stirred together all way before you’re ready to make your dinner – even a day or two! Just be aware, the apple will turn brown if chopped too far in advance.
If you do pre-chop, when you’re ready to cook, just go ahead and dump the veggies onto the tray, lay the pork on top, spoon over the marinade + bake.
You can also bake + reheat this entire meal for easy meal-prep, I’d just recommend that you undercook the pork slightly as it will continue cooking when reheated.

Guys. SO easy. SO good. I substituted sweet potatoes because I couldn’t find squash, but I loved it and my husband loved it!
My husband won’t eat mayo so I couldn’t add the sauce but I think it would be the perfect addition, I may add more glaze this time.
You’re SO SWEET + YES double the sauce, it’s gold. So sad that your hubby won’t eat mayo, ha!
