Friends, I am so excited to share this news with you, but I know that this post could be really painful for some people. If you’re struggling to conceive, grieving a miscarriage, or just not sure you’re emotionally in a place where you can handle reading about babies and pregnancy, my feelings will not be hurt at all if you skip this. I have a new found understanding for the pain associated with pregnancy and wanting babes, so please know that my heart is for you in whatever season you’re in right now…even if that means you have to tune out here over the next few months. I want you to protect your heart and mental health.

Oh my gosh, you guys. I have been DYING to share this news with all of you since I found out in the beginning of May. It has been the hardest, but most fun secret to keep EVER. But I’m finally able to share it with the world + tell you that…

I’m PREGNANT!

Mark + I are having a BABY + I honestly still can’t really wrap my mind around it completely, even as I type it out right in front of me. Guys, this feeling is wild.

I plan to do some more sharing about our journey, going more into detail about pregnancy + endometriosis and all of my thoughts/feeling/fears there, how we found out, what’s been helping me survive my first trimester, the foods I’m craving + all of the things! If you’re reading this close to when I share it, we’re just nearing the 15-week mark, which means I’m officially in my second trimester already, which is WILD to say the least. I’m working on a first trimester recap (I plan to do all 3) to really go into detail about what the first 13 weeks were like for me + my body (super weird), so keep an eye out if that interests you.

I’m in Pennsylvania right now to tell my friends and family our news in person, which has so far been the most special trip in the entire world + such a gift given what the world has looked like over the last year. Sharing the exciting, surprising, fun news with my parents in real life has been the second best moment this pregnancy so far after telling Mark (and maybe the ultrasound, SO COOL!). I can not WAIT to share the videos I took of people’s reactions over on instagram over the next few weeks.

Like I said, I do plan to share the whole story in a separate post because I can just see God’s hand all over it, but this baby (as wanted + loved as it is already) was not planned exactly, ha! So, when I say that Mark was surprised, Mark was SURPRISED. But more on that later 😉

For now, I’ll leave you with a few tidbits of info + I’ll be sure to let you know when there’s more to read!

  • Baby Reynolds-Corden is due January 18, 2022! (But did you know the AVERAGE first time mom goes 8 days late? I thought that was so interesting – no expectations here for what my body will do, ha.)
  • We don’t know the gender + we aren’t going to find out! We both honestly love the idea that on the other side of labour we get to find out the sex of the baby – just a fun little extra surprise.
  • I will be having the baby in England, mostly because that’s where I live with my husband, but I’m sure some people will ask what we’re doing! So far, the systems have been a bit different from what I know from friends, but honestly, this is my first baby, so I know no different!

Thanks for being so excited with us! We can’t wait to see what this next season of life holds for us as a little family of 3.
