This one pan, Whole30 Ground Beef and Broccoli is a 15 minute meal that will satisfy any eater! It’s tangy, hearty + oh so delish.
Friends, you went CRAZY over my 15-minute meal prepped sheet pan Chicken Caesar Meal. And for good reason. It was Whole30, Paleo, Keto, low carb, gluten-free, QUICK, EASY, CHEAP and tastes freaking bomb. Well, I’ve gone + done it again: meet my new fav quick, weeknight meal: Whole30 Ground Beef + Broccoli!
Life is hard, dinner shouldn’t be.
Because I know that so many of us struggle to do all of the life things + still have time to shop, cook + eat the way that we want, I’m making an effort to pull together a number of meal options each month that tick all of the boxes.
- Prepped in less than 15 minutes
- Minimal Ingredients
- Inexpensive
- Cook in one pan
- Customizable for dietary restrictions
The Quickest Whole30 Ground Beef + Broccoli
I chose ground beef as my protein here because #ease. I love traditional beef + broccoli, which uses sliced steak, but sometimes I just don’t have the patience to slice + sear and do all of that prep work. Ground beef tastes JUST as good, but it literally requires almost nothing of the work except a little stirring (plus, its much less expensive than regular beef!).
To prep + cook this meal, you really only need one pan + one bowl. Toss the ground beef in a pan + use those few minutes to chop your broccoli + mix up the sauces. A bit of pouring, stirring and drizzling is all that’s left. It really couldn’t be a simpler weeknight meal!
The All Important Sauces for Whole30 Ground Beef and Broccoli
This recipe actually uses 2 sauces. The first one, we’re going to pour over the beef + broccoli while its cooking. It uses ingredients like coconut aminos, fish sauce + sesame oil. I totally know that not everyone is going to have those ingredients in their house, and so I’ve included some swaps in the recipes notes if that’s you. HOWEVER, fish sauce + sesame oil add absolutely incredible flavour to any + all asian dishes, so I’d still recommend buying + trying them. Trust me!
Our second sauce is a Spicy Chili Lime Mayonnaise that’s drizzled or dolloped over the top of the finished dish. GUYS, don’t skip this step. Not only does it taste freaking incredible, but it also adds the healthy fats that we need to really make this in to a well rounded meal. It’s like 3 or 4 ingredients, so it’s super, super easy to make. You just need a bowl + a spoon!
Putting this Whole30 Beef and Broccoli Together!
Start to finish, this meal should take you less than 15 minutes to prep, cook + serve. If you’re interested in keeping this meal low carb, you can 100% eat this recipe as written. It’s nutritious + has all sorts of healthy fats + protein to keep you full. However, if you’re not doing Keto + are craving all of the carbs, this is DELISH served with some plain white rice (or cauliflower rice).
As written, this recipe is:
- Low Carb
- Keto
- Paleo
- Whole30
- Grain + Gluten Free
- Dairy Free
- Soy Free
- Sugar Free
It does reheat beautifully in my experience + can even be frozen to reheat at a later date. Also, its weirdly delicious thrown into an omelet for breakfast the next morning, ha! My husband is a pretty standard eater (loves pizza, sugar cereal + pasta), but he was really happy with this meal. Your family will be too!

Whole30 Ground Beef and Broccoli
Ingredients
Beef and Broccoli
- 2 tbsp avocado oil (can use olive or coconut too!)
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 large head broccoli (roughly 4 cups)
- 2 cloves minced garlic
- 1/4 cup coconut aminos (can also use soy sauce or tamari!)
- 1 tsp sesame oil**
- 2 tsp fish sauce
- 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar (rice wine vinegar or white vinegar work too!)
Spicy Chili Lime Mayonnaise
- 1/2 cup avocado oil mayonnaise
- 1 lime, juiced
- 1/2 tsp chili pepper
- 1/2 tsp salt
Instructions
Beef and Broccoli
- In a small bowl, mix together the coconut aminos, chopped garlic, sesame oil, fish sauce and vinegar. Stir to combine and set aside.
- Heat a large skillet to medium/high heat and add the ground beef.
- Begin to break apart the beef and cook until its golden brown. Remove from the pan.
- Add 2 tablespoons oil to the hot pan along with the broccoli florets. Toss the broccoli and cook it until its tender crisp.
- Add the beef back to the broccoli and stir.
- Pour the sauce over the meat and broccoli and stir until everything is coated. Turn off the heat.
- Top with a generous dollop of Spicy Chili Lime Mayo and enjoy!
Chili Lime Mayonnaise
- In a separate bowl, mix together the mayo, lime juice, chili poweder + salt! That's it!
Notes
- you can leave out the sesame oil if you don’t have it, but I suggest adding in another tablespoon of vinegar or the juice of a lime to make up for it!
Another win from this amazing food blog! We tried your brownie bites first and now this—my fiancé’s only complaint was that I didn’t make enough of this. 😂 we devoured it all for dinner. It’s a perfect recipe for 2 teachers who often get stuck at work, come home ravenous, and need food FAST. This one is going into our regular rotation for sure!
Holly, this makes my heart SO happy to hear! That is exactly my goal – to make sure that people who don’t have time to make elaborate meals can still eat well + food that tastes GOOD! I so, so, so appreciate all of your feedback + your trust in making my food!
We LOVE this recipe!! The flavor is amazing, and the avocado oil mayo is the perfect, unexpected bonus! I make it with liquid (soy) aminos and we usually eat it with rice. Everyone that I have made this for loves it and we rarely have leftovers. I really like the idea of using ground beef instead of steak in this recipe – easier and cheaper, and still delicious!
