Best Salad Ever
This salad is the best you'll ever try. It's made using only whole food ingredients like avocado and lemon juice. It's Paleo, Whole30 + a sure-fire way to get more greens in your diet in a delicious way.

- 1-2 heads romaine lettuce*
- 1/2-1 avocado
- 1/2-1 lemon, juiced*
- 1/4 tsp garlic powder
- 1 dash salt
Chop your romaine (or hearty green) into strips or bite size pieces and add it to a large bowl.
Mash your avocado with a fork until it forms a puree and add it to the romaine lettuce.
Squeeze half a lemon into the bowl with the greens + avocado.
Sprinkle garlic powder + salt on top of the lettuce mixture.
Using your hands, massage the avocado, lemon juice, salt + garlic into the lettuce - really get in there! Massage your greens for 30 seconds to 1 minute, until everything is well coated. The greens should shrink by at least 1/3 in volume.
Enjoy on its own or top with a protein or roasted veggies of choice.
If you aren't a fan of romaine lettuce, any sturdy green should work here - kale, radicchio, iceberg, etc.
If you don't have lemon juice on hand, any acid will work - apple cider vinegar, lime juice, etc.
Be sure to match the amount of lemon juice to avocado. Using a half an avocado? Use half a lemon. A whole avocado? A whole lemon. You get the idea.
