Paleo Honey Mustard Salmon

This Paleo Sheet Honey Mustard Salmon is made with simple ingredients in one pan, but tastes gourmet. It cooks in minutes, but is an allergen friendly main dish that everyone will love.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound salmon 1 large fillet or 4 small ones
  • 1 tbsp melted ghee, butter or coconut oil
  • 1 tbsp wholegrain or dijon mustard
  • 1 tbsp honey can be substituted for maple syrup or see notes for a Whole30 compliant option
  • salt + pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350f or 175c. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or aluminum foil.
  • Lay the salmon onto the prepared baking sheet + season with salt and pepper.
  • Mix the mustard, ghee and honey in a small bowl. Pour over the salmon, ensuring it is completely covered.
  • Bake the salmon for 12-17 minutes or until the fish is firm to the touch.

Notes

To make this dish Whole30, simply remove the honey + instead blend the mustard, ghee and 3 softened medjool dates in a food processor until smooth. Add an extra tablespoon of melted ghee if necessary for blending.
