Easiest Whole30 Mashed Potatoes and Gravy
These creamy, dreamy Whole30 + Paleo Mashed Potatoes are the easiest! They're dairy-free, but loved by kids + adults alike. They're perfect for a celebration or for a weeknight meal.

Mashed Potatoes
- 2.5-3 lbs peeled and chopped white potatoes
- 3 cloves garlic
- 4 tbsp ghee
- 1 cup cashew milk
- 1.5-2 tsp salt this depends on your tastes!
Gravy
- 3 cups chicken or beef stock
- 2 tbsp arrowroot powder
- 1 tsp salt
To Make the Mashed Potatoes
Cover the peeled and chopped potatoes into a large pot and cover with cold water.
Place on the stove, bring to a boil and cook for 10-15 minutes or until the potatoes are fork tender.
Drain the potatoes + add them back to the hot pot.
Add the ghee + milk to the potatoes and mash with a potato masher until you reach your desired texture of creaminess. (You can always add more ghee on top!).
To Make the Gravy
In a medium saucepan, heat the stock to boiling.
In a separate bowl, mix the arrowroot powder with 2 tbsp water.
Slowly add the arrowroot mixture to the boiling broth while whisking.
Add the salt + cook until thick! Ladel over the potatoes and enjoy.
